Welcome
After graduating in documentary photography in Wales, I worked for The Times newspaper for several years, capturing images for news and features. Based in London, I covered many stories in the city and traveled extensively for the newspaper throughout Europe.
In 1992 I was asked to cover the British Steel Challenge, an innovative event created by Sir Chay Blyth. A round the world yacht race, against the winds and currents in identical yachts, crewed by adventurous volunteers seeking a challenge of a life time. The event was a huge success, tapping into the thirst for adventure simmering in the hearts and minds of ordinary folk.
Since this inaugural race, I have been appointed official photographer to many of the world's major yachting events.
I am based in upstate New York.
